Our Story
A Legacy in the Construction Industry
Solid Contracting, LLC was started in 2001 by Lacy McClung, Jr, a fourth-generation builder and general contractor. As a young boy, he began helping his father both build and remodel homes in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan and continued in this tradition when the McClung family relocated to Alabama. After graduating from Stillman College, he continued down his father's path by working as an independent builder and contractor, constructing and renovating many homes and businesses in the Birmingham, Alabama area. Today he resides in Atlanta where he continues to carry on his family's legacy.
